Give each list a clear purpose
For example, create one list for your monthly newsletter and another for course announcements. The name should help you select the right recipients when your newsletter is ready.
A person can belong to several lists. Membership belongs to each list and is separate from customer status and notes on the contact card.
Add recipients where it makes sense
- Inside a list, add one or more existing contacts.
- Inside a contact, add or remove membership in several lists.
- For larger sets of contacts, use CSV import directly on the list.
- For new subscribers from your website, connect a form to the list.
One email per recipient per campaign
If two selected lists contain the same email address, that recipient is counted once in the campaign. The review shows unique recipients and overlapping entries.
Two separate campaigns are two separate newsletters. Duplicate checking does not merge different campaigns.
Membership and unsubscribing
A recipient can leave one list and stay on another, or unsubscribe from all newsletters from your business. Check their status before reactivating anyone manually.
If someone asks to subscribe again, manage this in the CRM. A new signup on your website can also reactivate the subscription. Delivery blocks for bounces and complaints are handled separately.
