Choose the right business and mailbox
Open Settings → Your mailboxes in the organisation where you want to use the address. Under Connect a mailbox, choose a provider or a manual connection.
Your login address does not need to match your mailbox address. For example, you can sign in with Gmail and connect your business’s info address.
Enter the connection details
- Enter your mailbox address and the credentials required by your provider. Some providers require a separate app password.
- Use your provider’s IMAP and SMTP settings. For a manual connection, server names, ports and security settings must be correct.
- Run the connection check and save once it passes.
- Have several mailboxes? Choose a default and check the sender before sending.
Make your sender personal
Under Sender and signature, choose the name recipients see, such as your name or your business name. Add a signature for the selected mailbox.
The signature appears when you compose or reply. You can leave it out of an individual email.
Work from the inbox or contact card
The inbox fetches emails when you open it. Fetch latest emails refreshes the list. Open a thread to read and reply, or start communicating directly from a contact.
If images are blocked, choose Show images in the email. Your everyday email connection is separate from your newsletter sending domain.
If the connection fails
First check that the address and password belong to the mailbox, not your hosting control panel. Then check server names, ports and any app password with your provider. Never share your password in a support message.
